Comfort Care Bags connect people with breast cancer with the essential tools and support they need during and after treatment.

  • Lymphedema: What every Woman with Breast Cancer Should Know

  • A two-year journey calendar and folio to hold records and appointment reminders

  • A small heart pillow that provides comfort while using a seat belt (sewn by volunteers)

  • A bar of chocolate

  • A handmade healing shawl (knitted or crocheted by volunteers)

Do you or someone you know have an interest in volunteering?

Baskets of Care distributes 400 bags or more every year. Baskets of Care’s volunteers—many of whom are breast cancer survivors—lovingly pack each bag. We distribute Comfort Care Bags through our partnerships with surgeons, oncologists, and breast care centers across Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan. We are the only organization in the region that provides Comfort Care Bags to people with breast cancer!
