About Us

Supporting You Fight

Baskets of Care Inc. was founded by breast cancer survivor Gail Cooper. During her personal battle against breast cancer in 2009, Gail was disappointed at the lack of support available at time of diagnosis, including inadequate information and emotional support provided to patients. She recognized a need for patients to have a better experience in the future. As a result, she became committed to using her professional skills to inform, support, and advocate on behalf of others affected by this disease. Her goal was to make sure that men and women who were diagnosed with breast cancer were given all the information and support they needed right at the time of diagnosis. To that end, she developed the concept of the comfort care bag and created Baskets of Care in 2010.

With over thirty years of business experience, Gail is a mother, grandmother, and an active contributor to her community. Throughout her years as a volunteer, and fundraiser she has served on several non-profit boards and acted as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for neglected and abused children. Gail has been active in helping to raise money for Toledo School for the Arts. Thanks to her tireless efforts, Baskets of Care has been embraced by local area hospitals, physicians, surgeons, social workers, and countless volunteers.

Delivering peace of mind during your difficult time.
